Overview
Empire Magazine is a self-made publication that highlights my love of R&B music and features my top three favorite female and male artists in the genre. Each artist has two to three spreads describing their background history, fun facts, accomplishments, and impact they have made throughout their music careers.
The purpose of this project was to showcase the diversity and creativity within R&B while expressing my personal connection to the music and the artists who inspire me. The overall design balances visual appeal and storytelling, allowing readers to connect with the artists while showcasing my abilities in publication design.

Approach
I wanted each spread to blend my editorial design skills with my appreciation for R&B artists. I focused on selecting artists whose music, style, and influence have made a huge impact throughout my life. I organized the content for each spread in way that is engaging and cohesive for intrigued readers. I made sure each artist had their own unique spotlight to describe their accomplishments while maintaining consistent visual identity throughout the magazine.
